Norwegian cruise ship tugged to pier after docking trouble in ManhattanNEW YORK (WABC) -- A Norwegian cruise ship returning from a Caribbean cruise had trouble docking on the West Side of Manhattan Sunday morning.The ship, called the Breakaway, waited in the river while the captain of the port in New York City ordered tugboat assistance to help with the docking.According to the Coast Guard, the Breakaway was pulled to Manhattan's Pier 88 just after 10 a.m.The U.S. Coast Guard said the ship was only able to use part of its on-board propulsion system that aids in docking.The Coast Guard closely monitored the situation.An announcement of the situation was made to the ship's passengers at about 7 a.m.The ship had just returned from a seven day cruise to the Caribbean.
