Miley Cyrus Says Kendrick Lamar and Taylor Swift Are Not Good Role Models. Really She Said That?
Miley Cyrus covers the September issue of Marie Claire magazine and had a few things to say about Kendrick Lamar and Taylor Swift that will certainly cause controversy. Cyrus, who, according to the article, has a “5-foot-tall embellished bong and a dildo covered in pink and red puffballs” in the front hallway of her home, questions why Swift and Lamar get a pass for their actions while she gets labeled as a miscreant. “I don’t get the violence revenge thing,” said Cyrus of Swift and Lamar’s “Bad Blood” video. “That’s supposed to be a good example? And I’m a bad role model because I’m running around with my titties out? I’m not sure how titties are worse than guns?”
Cyrus also spoke on the sexism she experiences in the music industry and cites Kendrick Lamar to make her case. “There is so much sexism, ageism, you name it. Kendrick Lamar sings about LSD and he’s cool. I do it and I’m a druggie whore.”
Kendrick was on stage during Cyrus’ infamous 2013 MTV VMA performance and shortly after the airing of the show, Lamar was asked on the Chelsea Lately show how he would react if he were in Robin Thicke’s shoes. “I wouldn’t know how to react…It was shocking,” said the rapper. “It didn’t get in the way of what I was doing but I definitely was interested.”
It will be interesting so see if Lamar will respond to Cyrus in any fashion. The rapper keeps a low profile and doesn’t get himself too involved with matters like this one but it’s safe to say we’ll never get a Miley Cyrus and K.Dot collab.
