The White House Is Looking Forward to Kanye West’s 2020 Presidential Bid

“And yes, as you probably could have guessed by this moment, I have decided in 2020, to run for president.”

Those were the words proclaimed by Kanye West during his rousing 12-minute long speech after he received the Video Vanguard Award at the 2015 MTV VMAs last night (Aug. 30). Since then the Internet has gone nuts, making a bunch of memes in the process. ‘Ye’s speech was so impactful that MTV executives are considering him as the host for next year’s VMAs. The White House seems to be open to the Chicago native as a potential presidential candidate. White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said that he looks “forward to seeing what slogan he chooses to embroider on his campaign hat.” Earnest, along with the President, are traveling aboard on Air Force One to Alaska.

While leaving a VMAs after party, Kanye, his wife Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner were mobbed by paparazzi who wanted a comment from Yeezy on his announcement. The pop culture icon said that if he was President every one in America would be given a new pair of Yeezy. “Ready For Kanye,” a newly formed PAC out of Maryland, has submitted its statement of organization to the Federal Election Commission (FEC). A PAC is an organization that collects campaign contributions (money) from its members and donates the funds to campaign for or against candidates, ballot initiatives or legislation. Tramal Ferguson, the owner for “KanyeForPresident.com,” received several offers for the domain name, with some offering as much as $80K. If ‘Ye was on to take steps to be President, here are the steps he must take.
