According to multiple reports, the Los Angeles Police Department had an open investigation on the late rapper Nipsey Hussle. The New York Times reports that the LAPD was looking into the rapper's gang ties and whether or not his Marathon Store was a hub for illegal gang activity. At one point during the investigation, police reportedly pressured the former owners of the strip mall that houses the Marathon Store to evict the rapper.
